Green Light For Flims - Laax Ski Area Development

The government gives the green light for the Flims - Laax ski area development.

The government approved the partial revisions of the site planning decided by the municipality of Flims on June 13, 2021 and the partial revisions of the local planning by the municipality of Laax on March 27, 2021. The present local planning revisions are intended to lay the foundations for the realization of a continuous cable car system on the Flims - Foppa - Startgels - Segnas - Nagens Sura / Ils Cusse Aschaffen axis.

This planned facility in the “Weisse Arena” intensive recreation area replaces the access to Cassons (the Naraus - Cassons aerial tramway, which was dismantled in 2018) and the Foppa - Naraus chairlift (feeder lift, dismantling without replacement) and the existing Flims - Foppa (feeder lift, replacement the existing route), on the other hand also the previous aerial tramway Startgels - Grauberg (employment facility, dismantling).
