Tunisian Ski And Snowboard Manufacturer Meditec Acquired By La Soie Group

MEDITEC moves further and faster into the Outdoor Sporting Goods Market by joining LA SOIE Group, The new owners work with brands across a range of industries from Louis Vuitton to perhaps more interesting from a ski perspective - Decathlon.

Former Nidecker factory MEDITEC is a composite-based sporting goods manufacturer located in Tunisia that produces snowboards, skis, kiteboards and wakeboards. The company has more than 100 employees.

During the last decade MEDITEC has evolved from a one client – one product manufacturing site into a 4 main core-products production platform that serves more than 20 key clients worldwide. For more than 20 years, more than 100 employees have built international know-how in terms of composite product technology.  The company has a fully integrated factory capable of producing a complex 3D snowboard, kite surfing, mono ski or high-end skis for brands including Zag and snowboards for brands including Nidecker, Jones, Yes, Slash, Drake, West , Borealis, Salomon, Zag, Spleene, 3 waves, F-one, Flexifoil, Brunotti…

Thanks to the excellent work done by Stéphane Querinjean and Ali Kouki – who will continue to serve as MEDITEC Managing Director – MEDITEC has shown a strong resilience during the Covid pandemic. The company has successfully accomplished a combination of new product-development projects with the launch of a new investment plan, in order to stimulate strong technical and industrial perspectives.

LA SOIE is a Franco Tunisian group of companies with more than 1.000 employees spread over 7 factories located in Tunisia and France. LA SOIE serves mainly the sports, Leisure and automotive markets. The integration of MEDITEC within LA SOIE Group should further strengthen this positive trend and result in:

• reinforcement of the R&D and Design department;
• reinforced focus on quality (system & products);
• an increase in the production capacity and capabilities of the MEDITEC industrial platform
