Legendary things on the Hahnenkamm and grandiose panorama on the Kitzbüheler Horn
At the Hahnenkamm, KitzSki writes not only about bike sports, but above all about experiences for the whole family. The 'summer experience Streif', an adventure course with a total of nine active stations over a total of 1.7 kilometers, is the special highlight for the children. There you can playfully experience the most legendary downhill run of all time in summer. All key points of the original race track can also be found in the adventure course. The children are accompanied by the mascot Gerli Gams.
On the Kitzbühler Horn, the focus on the family is also on nature and the panorama of the surrounding mountains. The steep rock faces of the Kaiser Mountains greet you at close range. With good visibility you can see as far as the Chiemsee and the snow-covered mountain peaks of the Hohe Tauern. Along the karst path, young and old can learn exciting things about the history of the earth. Climbing fans and everyone who would like to become one will find many opportunities to let off steam on the kids climbing path and on the climbing meadow at an altitude of almost 2,000 m - including the best panorama.
Tip: As part of the KitzMountain Guiding, guided hikes on the Hahnenkamm and Kitzbüheler Horn are offered from June 12th to October 3rd, 2021. Participation in the guided hikes is free for owners of a valid lift ticket.

The seal of approval unites the experts and pioneers of local summer mountain tourism among Austria's cable cars. Only companies that meet at least 160 quality criteria become members of the Best Austrian Summer Mountain Railways. In addition, they have to specialize in one of the five topics - adventure, family, panorama & nature experience, enjoyment, art & culture - and pass the re-certification every three years.
