National Ski Patrol Partners With Nikwax
The National Ski Patrol is a federally chartered nonprofit membership association dedicated to serving the public and the mountain recreation industry. For over 80 years, the NSP has been at the forefront of safety and emergency care education programs. The association’s 30,000 members represent 95 percent of the nation’s patrollers.
“National Ski Patrol is thrilled to partner with Nikwax to offer our patrollers products that will make their gear and clothes last longer,” said Matt Mears, Director of Sales and Partnerships. “Our patrollers are hard on their gear and are out working in all kinds of conditions. Nikwax will help extend the life of their outerwear and protect them from the elements.”
“We’re really excited to be supporting the hard-working men and women of the National Ski Patrol,” said Nikwax NA President, Brian Davidson. “These folks have a demanding job and in turn, demand a lot from their gear—it needs to be durable, weather-worthy, breathable and functional. Nikwax’s washes and waterproofings will ensure their gear performs day in and day out.”
Nikwax was founded in 1977 by Nick Brown, an avid hiker and traveler, who designed his own waterproofing wax to keep his leather hiking boots dry. Today, Nikwax is the trusted global leader in environmentally safe aftercare solutions. Nikwax products extend the performance life of technical clothing, footwear and equipment. Nikwax’s 40+ year commitment to clean chemistry means not using PFCs or aerosols, and not testing on animals. The carbon balanced company’s product line is water-based and biodegradable. All product bottles are made from 100% recycled plastic that can also be recycled. Nikwax North America is a subsidiary of Nikwax Ltd, a UK company.
