Courchevel Readies For Women's Alpine Skiing World Cup 11th Edition, 12 And 13 December 2020

A must-see on the women's circuit, Courchevel’s status as a stronghold of alpine skiing is confirmed with the hosting of two World Cup events this winter. Two Giant Slalom races, an event that the resort excels at, will take place on the slopes of the Émile-Allais stadium... World class skiers dream of winning in Courchevel. Last winter, it was Italian skier Federica Brignone who triumphed, succeeding alpine skiing star American Mikaela Shiffrin, who previously won consecutive doubles (Giant and Giant Slalom) in Courchevel.

What's new on the slopes

Discover a sensational ski slope that will be legendary!

Don’t wait until 2023 to discover the men's racetrack for the Alpine World Skiing Championships! This winter, the big news for the Courchevel ski area will be: L’Éclipse. A 3.3km long slope and 970m of vertical drop provide an awesome experience of skiing on one of the longest slopes in the ski area.

Émile-Allais Stadium

Courchevel is popular on the international alpine skiing calendar partly because of the superb quality of its stadium. The run was remodelled last year which resulted in the creation of a final wall. The stadium continues its transformation with track lighting and the installation of 14 new cameras so that races can be viewed live from Club des Sports.

Ski all year

The Club des Sports is introducing year-round skiing beginning this winter with a new synthetic track. At 13m wide and 10m long, it’s able to accommodate three skiers simultaneously…
