Hawaiian Weekend At Pats Peak - March 14 & 15, 2020
Pats Peak announces its 29th Annual Hawaiian Weekend Celebration, March 14 and 15, 2020. To celebrate spring skiing and riding, Pats Peak hosts a Hawaiian Weekend complete with tropical decorations around the mountain. Everyone receives a lei to welcome them to Hawaiian Weekend.
There’s some excitement added to the weekend with all departments competing to have the ‘most spirited department’ with each department responsible for decorating its area in tropical decorations. One department is awarded the most spirited department and one employee receives the most spirited employee.
“Many skiers and rider along with our employee look forward to celebrating spring skiing and riding on Hawaiian Weekend every year. It’s a lot of fun with the tropical decorations and all the palm trees. Everyone loves wearing their favorite Hawaiian outfit,” says Jim Wall, Director of Services.
The Jah Spirit Reggae Band will be playing in the Sled Pub on both Saturday and Sunday. Harpoon UFO Pineapple is the sponsor of the Après-Ski Party in the Sled Pub both days with lots of great raffle prizes. The cafeteria will be serving Hawaiian lunch specials on both days.
On Sunday, the Man of Steel Rail Jam starts at 1pm, sponsored by S&W Sports/S&DUB Board Shop. There over $2,500 in prizes awarded to the top winners in each division. Registration for the Rail Jam is from 10:30am to 12pm outside the Valley Lodge. It is a jam session style format event. There is no cost to enter the contest but entrants must have a Pats Peak Lift Ticket or Pats Peak Season Pass. Release forms must be signed and ages 17 and under need a parent/guardian signature.
