Mayrhofen - New Initiatives Enliven Summer Program
In order to liven up the summer program in the region and to compensate for the unusual events, the Mayrhofen-Hippach tourism association is treading new paths with two initiatives. Domestic restaurants receive financial support for live music. A complementary hiking program with local mountain guides extends the outdoor offer of the Zillertal Alps high mountain nature park.

Music funding for restaurants and restaurants has been launched this summer. “ Our holiday region is known for its musical offer in numerous companies. This year it is much more difficult for the entrepreneurs to plan than usual. To give the hosts more planning security and to create an offer, we are distributing financial support to ensure an attractive offer in the region ” , says Andreas Hundsbichler, chairman of the TVB Mayrhofen. Budgets that were originally intended to sponsor events should be used for this.
From now on, catering establishments in the Mayrhofen-Hippach holiday region can submit their publicly accessible music program to the TVB from July through September. The deadline for submission is June 19, 2020 at the latest. Afterwards, the funding pool will be allocated to the participating companies according to the program received with a fixed rate of funding. After June 19, when all applications have been received, the final amount of the funding should be fixed and the commitments made quickly and easily.
On June 22, 2020, the summer program of the Zillertal Alps high mountain nature park - bookable via myZillertal.app - starts the hiking season. In addition to this offer, the mountain sports guide association, in cooperation with the TVB Mayrhofen-Hippach, is now offering a selection of tours for locals and guests. The guided hikes can also be booked on myZillertal.app for a fee of EUR 10.00 per person.
"Auenland Sidan" adventure playground
For families, despite the crisis, the investment in the "Auenland Sidan" adventure playground was maintained. The joint project between the municipality of Schwendau and the Mayrhofen-Hippach tourism association is creating a natural recreation and meeting space for all generations. Planned opening around early July 2020.
