Elevate Ski Exoskeleton Now Available To Test At 10 U.S. Ski Resorts
Roam Robotics’ award-winning Elevate ski exoskeleton that is giving new life to tired skier legs is now available for demo at 10 premier resorts nationwide. The intuitive, easy-to-use system can be fitted and powered-up in just a few minutes and found at convenient slope side rental locations.
Elevate is a smart ski exoskeleton that enhances a skier’s natural movements without sacrificing technique or range of motion. Elevate supports up to 30% of a skier’s body weight using pneumatic actuators that turn compressed air into upward force, significantly reducing the load on muscles and minimizing painful knee joint compression. By combining on-board sensors with smart software, Elevate anticipates a skier’s turns and automatically adjusts knee and quad support to aid natural motion. Elevate supports skiers as they enter and exit a turn, while acting as a shock absorber on variable terrain.
Elevate is now available for demo at the following U.S. resorts:
- Northstar, Calif.
- Squaw Valley, Calif.
- Breckenridge, Colo.
- Keystone, Colo.
- Snowmass, Colo.
- Sun Valley, Idaho
- Big Sky, Mont.
- Park City, Utah
- Deer Valley, Utah
- Canyons, Utah
Roam Robotics is offering three rental options at each of the 10 resorts:
- 2-hour test drive for $25
- Daily rentals, starting at $109
- Elevate Open Pass, starting at $129. Elevate Open Pass gives access to any location with no restrictions or blackout dates, subject to inventory available.
