Pierre & Vacances Prepares For 20-21 Ski Season With Two New Offerings In Andorra

Europe’s leading operator of self-catering holidays, Pierre and Vacances, is getting ready to welcome back visitors to the slopes this winter, across its French Alpine and Pyrenees portfolio of 78 properties in 33 different ski resorts. What’s more, the brand is excited to announce the opening of two new residences in Andorra, with Hôtel Austria and Résidence Andorra Degas both set to welcome guests from 4 December 2020. The new additions further strengthen the brand’s presence in the Principality, where the company already operates nine properties with more than 455 rooms and apartments.

With a wide choice of hotels and residences available to suit every budget, and a range rooms and apartments that can sleep between two and 12 people, Pierre & Vacances guests can vacation in comfort and style. Ahead of the new ski season, Europe’s number one provider of mountain holidays has been working hard to ensure customers have a safe and enjoyable stay, with the introduction of special Covid-19 practices at all locations, including the provision of hand-sanitiser for staff and customers, increased cleaning and disinfecting processes, and the updating of hotel ventilation systems. All properties have onsite staff, to provide guests with any assistance that they need and to ensure that they have a great holiday. And with fully equipped apartments and hotel rooms that feature fully fitted kitchens, there is no need to worry about social distancing when it comes to eating and socialising.

Customers can book with peace mind thanks to a Flexible Rate option that entitles guests to a full refund on their entire stay (including on their ski passes and equipment hire if they have booked them) when they cancel up to 30 days in advance of their trip for any reason. And should Covid-19 restrictions force a cancellation, guests will have the option to change the date of their stay or opt for 100% of their money back. What's more, holidaymakers can secure their booking with a deposit of just €1, with the balance due just a few days before travel.

Andorra’s Hôtel Austria will open under the Pierre & Vacances brand this winter, after the group acquired the 62-room property, which had recently undergone upgrade works. The hotel will offer guests comfortable and modern rooms, many of which will benefit from mountain views. Featuring stylish fixtures and fittings, accommodation is simple yet intelligent in design, with rooms able to accommodate between two and four people, with Wi-Fi and ski storage coming as standard. An onsite restaurant will serve local and international cuisine, and guests will be able to relax and unwind after a day on the slopes at the hotel bar area, which doubles up as a business lounge. Breakfast will be included with all bookings, and value for money half-board options are already available online. Hôtel Austria is located 1 km from the Peretol ski resort and is ideal for those wishing to explore the Grandvalira ski area of the Pyrenees, with its 210 km of pistes and three snowparks. The pet-friendly property is also well positioned for those wanting to take advantage of Andorra's duty-free shopping, with brands like Super Dry and Benetton offering discounted prices at their nearby Pas de la Casa stores. And with secure parking, lift passes available at the reception area, and ski rental shops just a short walk away, guests can enjoy a hassle-free stay with maximum time on the slopes.

6km to the west of Hôtel Austria in the peaceful village of El Tarter, the Degas Apartments are located in the heart of the Pyrenees, at an altitude of 1,700m, just 750m from the Grandvalira ski slopes. Perfect for families, the 14 fully equipped apartments come complete with kitchens and comfortable living areas and can accommodate between three and six guests each. Lift passes can be purchased onsite, and the nearby Esports ski rental shop makes holidaying here effortless, as does the fast and reliable Wi-Fi and easy to access ski lockers. In the nearby area a wide variety of winter sports facilities and activities cater to a range of abilities and to all age groups. Away from the slopes, there are shops in walking distance, as well as some great dining options, including the delightful Manacor restaurant with its modern European cuisine.

Customers can collect their ski passes at reception on arrival and equipment can be picked up quickly and easily either onsite or at a nearby store.
