For a long time it was not clear whether the training camp could take place this year - the joy was all the greater when the starting whistle sounded for the first training session in the Park Stadium in Zell am Ziller. Christian Daum , managing director of TVB Zell-Gerlos , also took the opportunity to welcome the team to the Zillertal : “We are very pleased that Werder Bremen is still holding the training camp with us this year as usual. The test matches against Linz ASK and SC Austria Lustenau will certainly be particularly exciting. In any case, online ticket sales show great interest in the games. ”Currently only a few tickets are available at: https://www.zillertal.at/service/partner/werder-bremen.html. So if you want to be there live at one of the test matches, you have to be quick. As an alternative, they have come up with something special: this year there is the opportunity to watch the two games (Werder Bremen against LASK on August 19, 2020 at 5 p.m. and Werder Bremen against SC Austria Lustenau on August 24, 2020 at 1 p.m.) via live stream on the channels of the clubs.

Some Tyrolean Werder fans should also be watching the test matches with excitement - Kirchbichler Marco Friedl has also been playing for SV Werder Bremen since 2018. “Of course, I am particularly happy to be able to spend the training camp at home again. The conditions make it easy for us to feel comfortable here and of course I also enjoy training in the middle of the wonderful mountain landscape, ”said Friedl. With the Zillertal Activcard you have breathtaking mountain experiences in your pocket. This card is the ideal companion for everyone who would like to experience the valley with its four holiday regions: Fügen-Kaltenbach, Zell-Gerlos, Mayrhofen-Hippach and Tux-Finkenberg.

Given the occasion, the safety of the team and the fans is a particular focus this year at the training camp. “Of course we have to be particularly careful about the current situation and adhere to all necessary measures. This also includes a limited number of viewers for the friendly matches. With the help of the live streams, we would also like to reach our fans who cannot attend the games. This is how we guarantee everyone's safety, ”says Clemens Fritz , Head of Professional Football at Werder Bremen
