2019 Shot Ski Event Aims To Break Record For Fourth Consecutive Year
Park City Sunrise Rotary Club and High West Distillery are refilling glasses for Park City’s 4th Annual Shot Ski Event. Shot-takers will assume their positions along Park City’s Historic Main Street to tip their glasses on Saturday, October 12 at 2 p.m.
Last year’s 2,570-foot long shot ski served 1,275 people using 508 skis end to end and raised $29,474.57 for the Park City Sunrise Rotary Club grant program. This fall, the event aims to break Breckenridge’s record set in January 2019 of 1,299 participants by serving 1,310 Park City participants.
“The Park City community support of this event continues to grow every year, and we have no doubt we’ll be the new shot ski record holders come fall,” said Park City Sunrise Rotary Club member Connie Nelson. “We are excited about our ambitious goal to raise $40,000 for our grant program and see how this fun, lively event will go on to serve our community.”
High West Whiskey will fill shot glasses again this year as the event’s presenting sponsor. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available, including a $600 Sponsor Ski sponsorship which includes two custom-wrapped skis with three shot glass spots each, six High West drink tokens, a reserved space on the street for the event, and the opportunity to take the custom skis home. A $250 VIP Ski sponsorship secures three spots on the shot ski and a High West-wrapped and branded ski to keep. To secure a sponsorship, contact Connie Nelson at 435-602-2612 or cnelson@uolf.org or Mike Luers at 435-901-8891 or mluers@sbwrd.org by Wednesday, September 25.
All proceeds will benefit the Park City Sunrise Rotary Club’s Grant Program for 20 community groups. A $25 ticket includes a spot on the shot ski and a token to enjoy a High West specialty drink at one of several after-party locations. After party locations include High West, Wasatch Brew Pub, No Name Saloon, OP Rockwell and The Cabin. Event updates and ticket information are available at parkcityshotski.com.
