Combine Aspen Snowmass And Steamboat For A Colorado Cat-Ski Adventure

Comprising four mountains under one ski pass, the world-class ski resort of Aspen Snowmass offers something for everyone. Whether it’s exploring the family-friendly terrain on Snowmass, or heading to the local’s favourite mountain, Aspen Highlands, skiers and riders will not be stuck finding their perfect adventure. When off the slopes, the two towns of Aspen and Snowmass offer a range of off-mountain activities, such as the Wheeler Opera House, Aspen Art Museum and a five-story high climbing wall at Limelight Hotel Snowmass.

The Little Nell Power Cat: Offered exclusively by The Little Nell and The Limelight Hotel Aspen & Snowmass, this sought-after cat-ski experience includes a full morning of skiing on Aspen Mountain, followed by a late lunch at a wood-stove heated cabin in the Elk Mountains. Guests are welcomed with a complimentary chair massage therapist and delicious wines from around the world.

Stay: The Limelight Hotel Snowmass opened its doors last season, featuring 99 hotel rooms plus a restaurant and children’s game area. The hotel is located adjacent to Snowmass Mountain’s Elk Camp Gondola, providing ski-in/ski-out access. The property remains consistent with the Limelight brand featuring amenities and extras such as an expanded continental breakfast, après ski deals, live music, adventure activities such as First Tracks and Inside Tracks, as well as a ski concierge.

Steamboat

Steamboat is a beautiful ‘wild west’ ski town where visitors will find saloon-style bars, rustic cabins and cowboys cruising down the slopes. The snow at Steamboat has less water content than found at other ski resorts and is so light and fluffy, they’ve officially trademarked it Champagne Powder®. Expert skiers will love the variety of terrain and there are tonnes of off-piste tree skiing opportunities, whilst beginners will find that Steamboat’s ski school is world-class. After a day on the slopes, visitors can unwind in soothing hot springs, go on a magical horseback ride through the snow or grab a bite to eat in the town.

Steamboat Powdercats: One of the best ways to make the most of Steamboat’s incredible snow is with Steamboat Powdercats. The expert guides take skiers and riders to backcountry areas where they’ll find incredible runs and epic views. A warming, three-course lunch is the order of the day at Steamboat Powdercats’ cosy cabin before getting back on the powder for the afternoon. The day concludes with guides showcasing the incredible photos they’ve captured of guests making unforgettable memories.

Stay: Located just steps away from the main gondola, The Steamboat Grand is a beautiful, luxurious property which has everything guests need for a memorable stay. Accommodation ranges from cosy rooms to sprawling penthouses whilst there’s also a spa and heated outdoor swimming pool that are perfect for soothing muscles after a day on the slopes. Guests can enjoy concierge-style rental fitting at the hotel’s Grand Ski & Sport and there’s also a range of cold weather accessories available to purchase. For those who would prefer to bring their own equipment, complimentary ski storage is included.
