Alice Robinson Extends Contract With Marker Dalbello Völkl

17-year-old New Zealander Alice Robinson burst onto the scene last winter. Following her World Cup debut in February 2018, she took part in the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang as the youngest winter Olympian in the history of New Zealand, coming 35th in the giant slalom. Shortly afterwards in August and September she recorded three victories in the Australia New Zealand Cup, winning the Super-G and securing first place in the overall standings. Her first European Cup victory came in February 2019 in Berchtesgaden, and she caused a surprise just a few days later by finishing in 17th place World Championship in Åre, posting the best time in the second run. At the Junior World Championship in Val di Fassa she won her first gold medal in the giant slalom and secured her first World Cup podium finish with silver in the giant slalom in Soldeu.

Marker Dalbello Völkl recognized the potential of the New Zealander early on and supported her as a child. For the past two years she has been an official member of the MDV International Race Team and uses Völkl skis, Marker bindings and, since last season, Dalbello ski boots. To continue her success story as part of the team, the junior world champion and last year's World Cup star has committed to the same manufacturers for the coming winter. The contract and partnership have been extended initially until 2021.

“We are very proud to have such a young, talented athlete like Alice in our MDV family and are delighted that our journey together will extend beyond the coming season. We are grateful for the trust she has placed in us and are sure that our cooperation will continue to bear plenty of fruit in the future,” said Jonathan Wiant, President of Marker Dalbello Völkl.
