Summer Begins At Loon Mountain Resort | Memorial Day Weekend

Loon Mountain Resort's summer adventures begin – including New Hampshire’s longest scenic Gondola Skyride, Adventure Center, and Aerial Forest Adventure Park - Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-27. The resort will be open weekends only through June 16, with daily operations beginning Monday, June 17. 

TOP-TO-BOTTOM MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE 

With activities from base to summit, Loon is the perfect destination for summer adventure in the White Mountains. New Hampshire’s longest scenic Gondola Skyride transports guests to the summit of Loon Peak, where they can climb an observation tower for spectacular views of the White Mountains, dine at the newly-renovated Summit Café, play 18-holes of disc golf, embark on a self-guided hike, and explore summit glacial caves. 

Back at the mountain’s base, guests can visit the Adventure Center to zipline across the roaring Pemigewasset River, scale an outdoor climbing wall, or rent a mountain bike or e-bike to explore area paths and 10 km of cross country trails. In the Aerial Forest Adventure Park, visitors will climb high into the White Mountain National Forest to cross log bridges, zoom across ziplines, and tackle other challenges on five courses ranging from Easiest to Most Difficult. 

NEW FOR 2019! 

PUMPHOUSE PUMP TRACK + BALANCE BIKES 
Young riders will feel the flow – and develop key biking skills – on the rollers and berms of the new Pumphouse Pump Track. Even the youngest riders can get in on the action with a balance bike, an important tool for developing the skills and passion for riding. 

J.E. HENRY RAILROAD | FULL STEAM FRIDAYS 
On Fridays throughout the summer, guests will enjoy free rides on the J.E. Henry Railroad, Loon's antique steam locomotive. Chat with the engineer, learn about the engine's history, and ride the train to your heart’s content – all for free. Fridays June 21–August 30. 

COMING SOON | DOWNHILL MOUNTAIN BIKING 
Loon has broken ground on a multi-phase project to build 15+ miles of downhill mountain biking trails! Once all phases are complete, Loon will offer more than 25 miles of downhill and cross-country biking trails - the largest combined network in the White Mountains. ACTIVITIES 

MOUNTAINTOP YOGA 
Rise above the stresses of everyday life with Mountaintop Yoga. Take the scenic Gondola Skyride to the summit of Loon Peak, where an experienced local instructor will guide a stunning outdoor yoga session. For a bigger workout, hike a quarter mile to the 3,050-foot summit of North Peak for a guided, True North Peak Yoga session.

DISC GOLF 
Grab a disc and play 18 holes on New Hampshire’s highest disc golf course, opening in June. Take the Gondola Skyride to the 2,750-foot summit of Loon Peak, enjoy breathtaking views of New Hampshire's highest peaks, and tee off on the mostly-downhill course to the mountain's base.

New England Brewfest | June 22 
Beer lovers will savor brand-new brews and soak up beautiful mountain scenery at the 15th annual New England Brewfest. One of the largest beer festivals in New Hampshire, this year’s event will feature dozens of drafts from area breweries. Buy tickets at www.nebrewfest.com 

Loon Mountain Race | July 7 
Climb 3,125 vertical feet over 6.6 miles in this iconic race, named "Most Competitive Hillclimb" by Runner's World Magazine. The legendary ascent straight up Upper Walking Boss makes another appearance this year, setting the stage for one of the toughest, most awe-inspiring kilometers in mountain running. Touch-A-Truck | August 10–11 
Kids will love getting an up-close look at the trucks, grooming machines, and other heavy equipment that keeps Loon running all year long. Free admission. 

New Hampshire Highland Games & Festival | Sept. 20–22 
Grab a kilt for the 44th annual New Hampshire Highland Games & Festival! One of the largest Scottish festivals in the country, the Highland Games will feature top Scottish bands, classic Highlander cuisine, Scottish heavy athletics, and dozens of other unique cultural attractions. White Mountain Oktoberfest | Oct. 12–13 
Beer, brats, and vibrant fall foliage join forces for a festive weekend in the White Mountains. Highlights include an oompah band, stein-holding contest, and keg-tossing competition - plus activities and contests for kids, too. Free admission.
