'Telluride Reserve' Announces Credential Sale
On March 25, 2019, Telluride Reserve, a new food and wine event hosted in Telluride Mountain Village, launched credential sales. Only 500 credentials were available for the four-day event.
Telluride Reserve focuses on the intimacy of each tasting by providing direct interaction with award-winning chefs, winemakers, sommeliers, and the wines that express the terroir of vineyards from around the world. The talent of Telluride Reserve will immerse guests in their cultures and vibrant stories of food and wine.
The locations for the 17 Taste & Terroir four-course lunches will be private homes and venues each limited to only 30 guests. Guests select their weekend tastings by their interests, from a host of seminars, each with a maximum capacity of just 50 guests or less.
Some highlights guests can look forward to:
- Meet two generations of the Mondavi family, with wines from Tim Mondavi’s Continuum Estate and a menu crafted by Mondavi’s executive Chef, Sarah Scott. Tim will lead a vertical tasting of Continuum and discuss the intricacies of the vintage, his family’s legacy and life in Napa Valley. Carlo Mondavi, Tim’s son, will showcase his remarkable RAEN wines that he and his brother Dante founded in 2013 by putting them up against some of the great Burgundies of the world in a blind tasting.
- Meet Chef Katy Millard of Coquine, just announced as a semi-finalist for 2019 Best Chef: Northwest by the James Beard Foundation, who will host a Taste & Terroir of Oregon lunch paired with the wines of Lavinea.
- Enjoy the Taste & Terroir of Santa Barbara lunch, the stories of Sandhi and Domaine de la Cote Winemaker and Sommelier Rajat Parr, all while experiencing the culinary skills of Michelin Star awarded Chef Daniel Patterson.
- Andrew Shaffner, Telluride Ski Resort’s Wine Director, will revisit the reds poured at the Judgement of Paris. This signature event is a recreation of the famous blind tasting held in 1976 where California wines beat French wines to earn global recognition. The reenactment has only been offered four other times since the original event. Only 15 spots are available.
