New CEO For FIS Nordic World Ski Championships Oberstdorf 2021
Moritz Beckers-Schwarz will be the new CEO for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf in charge of marketing, ticketing, communications and tourism. Born in Germany’s Rhineland area, the 38-year-old has extensive experience in the field of sports marketing. He has been the CEO and chairperson for the FC Schalke 04 Arena GmbH and was in charge of the organisation of Bundesliga games and the Biathlon World Team Challenge.
Beckers-Schwarz was already well-known in the German Ski Federation. “We have come to know and value Moritz Beckers-Schwarz as a competent partner. We are very pleased that we were able to fill the vacant position so fast and in such a good way”, DSV President Dr. Franz Steinle said.
Becker-Schwarz, who was presented to FIS and external partners at the Oberstdorf evening during the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld, is looking forward to his new challenge: “The Biathlon World Team Challenge at the Arena auf Schalke has been one of my most treasured projects, also because of the great cooperation with the German Ski Federation. The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2021 in Oberstdorf are an exciting challenge that I look forward to accepting.”
