Arbor Collective Introduces Footwear
The Arbor Collective introduces a new footwear collection for Fall 2019. The Line is designed to meet the expectations of lifelong snow, skate, surf consumers, who want the comfort and performance needed for getting from the places we live, to the place we go to ride, while standing up to the travel and outdoor experiences we seek along the way.
Expanding on the brand’s tradition of building mindfully crafted products for the pursuit of life’s great lines, Arbor Footwear’s introductory styles include suede/canvas lace-up and slip-on skate-shoes. Both styles are built for around-town and weekend missions, with a premium leather version that delivers an elevated take on the Brand’s timeless silhouettes.
Arbor's 24-year founding commitment to sustainable construction and environmental restoration is well expressed in the new footwear line. Highlights include:
· Reclaimed Rubber made from reground remnant materials
· Recycled Poly made from materials like plastic water bottles
· Responsible Leather that is hormone-free, non-GMO, and free-range
· And as with all Arbor products, a portion of every sale goes to the Brand's Returning Roots Program; Arbor is not just planting trees, they are rebuilding and protecting natural forests with every sale.
Standing behind Arbor Footwear is a host of new leaders, who have joined the Brand’s long standing management team to oversee the new Division. Bob Carlson, The Arbor Collective’s Founder and CEO announced earlier this year that Alan Kirk, who most recently led Development at the Billabong Group, and was previously the CEO of Filson and Senior VP at Eddie Bauer, will lead the Apparel and Footwear Division. He is joined by an extremely talented management team, who bring experience from host of unique brands including: RVCA, Clear Weather, Diamond Supply Co., Vans, Xcel, VonZipper, Nike, DC, and Brandblack. Arbor is proud to announce that James Williams has joined this team to oversee sales, bringing years of experience from his time at Topo Designs and Emu.
“We have built an amazing leadership team from both the Action Sports and Outdoor worlds,” said Bob Carlson. Our goal is to ensure that our Footwear is launched with a confidence and purpose true to our original mission, while development is guided in the strongest possible way.”
Since 1995, Arbor's mission has been simple and unchanged: blend innovative construction, with aspects of traditional craftsmanship, and a steadfast commitment to sustainable materials and methods. Arbor sees this as the best way to deliver the performance and quality required for pursuing snowboarding, skateboarding, and the good times that happen along the way, while highlighting the athletes and artists who support this approach, and contribute so significantly to the brand’s efforts.
