Bolle's Ambassadors Ready To Kick Off X-Games
Bollé has been involved at the highest level of skiing for decades and has been committed to offering world top athletes the best equipment to accompany them in their challenges and their victories. US Champions David Wise and Maddie Bowman will kick off the X-Games on January 24th freshly equipped with Bollé’s latest products: NEVADA goggles and MUTE, the new-for-winter 19/20 freeride helmet.
Half pipes hold no secrets for Maddie Bowman. Winner of the Winter X Games Superpipe competition in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 AND 2018, and awarded an Olympic gold medal in ski halfpipe in 2014, it is essential for the athlete to only concentrate on the slopes and that is why she trusts Bollé’s helmets and goggles. “I like the reliability of Bollé products, she says. They are so well-made and designed that I never have to worry about them while I’m trying to perform”. Maddie Bowman selected Bollé’s latest cylindrical goggles NEVADA to hit the slopes in Aspen.
Bollé’s latest goggles NEVADA are characterized by their mix of style and high-end technology. These cylindrical frameless goggles give an amazingly wide field of view supported by Bollé’s latest lens innovation: Phantom lens technology. Providing unbeatable clarity thanks to its NXT® construction, Phantom lens photochromic technology also adapts to any light condition at any temperature thanks to LTS Technology (Low Temperature Sensitivity). This feature delivers improved activation, darkening or lightening whether the temperature is -25°C or 5°C. NEVADA is available with Phantom+, a semi-polarized version of Phantom adding protection from distracting glare without masking ice. Last but not least, Bollé’s Flow Tech® venting system and anti-fog treatment eliminate fog ensuring that the wearer enjoys excellent visibility even during the most intense action.
As for David Wise, he has achieved very strong results since the beginning of the season and is one of the champions who the media and spectators’ attention will be focused on. Already the winner of last year’s X-Games halfpipe competition, the champion will be able to count on the NEVADA Signature Series goggles bearing his colours that he created with Bollé’s Product Development team. Even though these goggles will only be available in the shops for winter 2019/20, David Wise is planning to put them under the spotlight as much as possible in the meantime. “I am hyped on my new signature series Nevada goggles. Having the right gear makes me twice as confident. I wanted to make goggles with the right field of view that also looked fresh. Since I took them out of the box, I haven’t wanted to take them off”.
Featuring camouflage graphics developed by the freestyler himself, NEVADA Signature Series David Wise’s frameless design and cylindrical lens offer the widest field of vision supported by Bollé’s latest lens innovation, Phantom.
The helmet choice of David Wise, MUTE, will also be launched next winter. This freestyle-oriented design is highly resistant to impact thanks to its ABS construction – a must for daredevil freestylers – and keeps the head cool thanks to an Airflow Extractor and integrated ventilation that ensure optimal air circulation in the helmet. David Wise has set his sights on the camo version which matches perfectly with his Signature Series NEVADA goggles.
