Leki Announces Partnership With The High Fives Foundation
LEKI USA is proud to announce its support of The High Fives Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports the dreams of outdoor action sports athletes by raising injury prevention awareness while providing resources and inspiration to those who suffer life-altering injuries. LEKI is known for championing similar causes and this partnership fits in with the company’s mission to get more people outdoors.
As part of the multifaceted partnership, LEKI will participate in the following programs for The High Fives Foundation in 2019:
- Five For Fives: LEKI will pledge to donate five percent of their web sales on the fifth of every month to The High Fives Foundation.
- Ski-A-Thons: LEKI will support the three High Fives Ski-A-Thons, including Fat Ski on March 3, Mothership Classic on March 31 and Retro Shred on April 17
- Golf Tournaments: LEKI will support the three High Fives Gold Tournaments, including Tahoe on May 15, Vermont on August 9 and Colorado on August 27.
To kick off the partnership, LEKI and The High Fives Foundation will host the Poles Up Happy Hour at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Denver on Thursday, January 31 from 4-6pm in LEKI booth #36031-UL. Beer ($5), winter hats ($20) and raffle tickets (1 for $5 / 20 for $20) will be available for purchase, with all money raised supporting a variety of High Fives Foundation endeavors such as the purchase of rehabilitative and adaptive equipment, as well as funding for alternative healing and therapies.
High Fives focuses on preventing life-changing injuries and provides resources and hope if they happen. It was formed as a way to "pay-it-forward" by the founder from his own recovery to help injured people. The Foundation has expanded to help 219 individuals and veterans from 32 states since its inception in 2009. The High Fives Foundation is a California-based, national 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization.
