Mission Ridge To Build New Detachable Quad Chairlift With Bubbles

Mission Ridge is excited to announce that they plan to replace Chair 2 (The Liberator) prior to the start of the 2019-2020 season pending approval from the U.S. Forest Service and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Pending final approvals, the current Chair 2 will be removed and upgraded to a Doppelmayr high-speed, detachable quad chairlift with bubbles. The newly purchased chair is coming from Europe and is a significant improvement for Mission Ridge skiers. The costs and limitations associated with maintaining the Liberator required us to take a new approach, so we began a search and found an ideal replacement. They feel fortunate to have this opportunity. 

When approved, this investment will offer consistency of operations and a much more comfortable ride up the mountain. The new lift will come with all new electronic systems and controls which will serve Mission well for many years into the future.

Mission Ridge Ski Area is a ski area in the western United States, located near Wenatchee, Washington. On the leeward east slope of the Cascade Range, its base elevation is at 4,570 feet (1,393 m) above sea level with the peak at 6,820 feet (2,079 m). Mission Ridge receives an average snowfall of 200 inches (16.7 ft; 5.1 m) per year, with over 300 sunny days, and its slopes face primarily northeast.

Mission Ridge has 6 lifts providing access to 2,000 acres (8.1 km2) of terrain: 1 High speed detachable quad, installed in the summer of 2005 [1] 3 fixed grip double chairlifts 2 rope tows Mission Ridge has a relatively small terrain park, called the B-24 terrain park.

The ski area has had night skiing and snowmaking since 1978 and expanded the snowmaking capacity in 2005.

The Hampton Lodge at the base of the mountain includes a restaurant, bar, shop, and rental center. Additionally, facilities in the base area include lesson centers, a childcare center, and first aid operations.
