Les Sybelles Invests 7 Million Euros To Build New 6-Seater Detachable Grip Chairlift
The French ski area Les Sybelles is investing 7 million euros to build a new 6-seater detachable grip chairlift
Four months before the Christmas ski holiday, the technical teams at Les Sybelles—France's 4th largest ski area—are busy building the new 6-seater detachable grip chairlift at Mont Corbier. This new detachable grip chairlift will save time to reach the top of the Le Corbier / Saint Jean d'Arves sector.
This lift is faster, more comfortable, quieter, more energy-efficient, and will optimise access to the Pointe de l'Ouillon at 2,431 meters—a strategic location and interconnecting the six Les Sybelles resorts: La Toussuire, Les Bottières, Le Corbier, Saint-Jean-d’Arves, Saint-Sorlin-d’Arves and Saint-Colomban-des-Villards.
This new detachable grip chairlift replaces the old Corbier fixed grip chairlift, eliminating several towers from the landscape. Work will end in November with commissioning and testing to make everything ready for the ski area to open on the morning of December 22.
Over the past three years, the Maulin Group has invested 27 million euros to renew the ropeways in the Les Sybelles ski area.
