Success through long-standing partnerships
One proof of the quality and reliability of the DEMACLENKO brand is the company’s many long-standing partnerships both at home and abroad. In Austria, for example, Silvretta Montafon in the Vorarlberg has relied on the company’s expertise for years and continues to expand its snow facilities. Thus, in 2017, DEMACLENKO delivered its five-hundredth snow gun – a special order – and delivery has already been confirmed for thirty new fan guns and pits. Again, in Silvretta Montafon, the facility’s control systems were standardized by DEMACLENKO, merging the nine control systems of various manufacturers in a single control system, DEMACLENKO’s Snowvisual. The customer was able to formulate his wishes and his requirements so that everything could be implemented to his full satisfaction.
Digitalization: new approaches to managing ski resorts
For years, DEMACLENKO has been offering its control software Snowvisual 4.0, the perfect response to the increasing digitalisation and automation of working processes in ski resorts. Snowvisual makes it possible to operate and control the entire snow facility and its individual components completely automatically. It is thus possible to use natural snowfall optimally and use resources efficiently. Moreover, cooperation with our two sister companies, LEITNER ropeways (cable systems for transporting passengers) and PRINOTH (snow groomers) has made for entirely new approaches in managing ski resorts. An integrated platform has already made it possible to link DEMACLENKO’s snow management software with PRINOTH’s SNOW-HOW management for fleet management. This provides a resort operator with a unique pool of information which will allow him to tune in the various fields optimally.
Performance, technology and design
With their excellent snow quality, high volumes of production and unbeatable energy performance, DEMACLENKO snow guns also excel through their operator friendliness and simple maintenance. Beyond their efficiency, sustainability and functionality, DEMACLENKO snow guns also win people over through their design. In particular, the Ventus 4.0 impresses people through its high snow production of up to 90 m3 per hour with a low energy consumption of only 20 kilowatts. The special design came from the design studio Pininfarina. In the coming season, for instance, as many as twenty-five new Ventus 4.0 will be guaranteeing quality snow on the slopes for Mayrhofner Bergbahnen in the Tyrol.
The most powerful snow gun on the market: Titan 3.0
DEMACLENKO has also produced the greatest snowmaking performer on the market, Titan 3.0, with production volumes of 110 m3 per hour. The excellent snow quality and high casting distance are further arguments for DEMACLENKO’s best-selling snow gun, which has won over enthusiastic customers throughout the world. Titan Silent has been a solid performer for snowmaking projects in residential areas. The particularity of this snow gun is that it produces equal volumes of snow with a very low sound level. The very low sound level has been made possible through the special form of the bucket wheels and the special structure of the blower, both developed in cooperation with the Fraunhofer research institute. Among the most well-known purchasers of the Titans are Bergbahnen Kitzbühel, where the Titans are used on the world-famous slopes, and the Grossglockner resort Kals-Matrei.
Titan X 3.0’s multi-nozzle system allows for first class results at limit temperatures, high humidity and in facilities with low pressure. Titan X, has been in use for several years, for instance in Flachau (Snowspace Salzburg), which relies on the snow gun’s mature technology.
Compact, efficient in energy and completely automatic
The compact construction of Evo 3.0 makes for its versatility, its low use of resources and its ease of transport. It produces 70 m3 of snow per hour with a casting distance of sixty meters and is thus considered the greatest compact snow gum. For instance, in 2017 the company Skilifte Warth had a large number of snow guns installed to cover the entire surfaces of its slopes.
The new generation of EOS lances is a real revolution in efficiency. By using special nozzles and oil-free compressor technology, energy consumption has been reduced to less than 2 kilowatts with a snow production of up to 61 m3/h. The ski resort Maria Alm – Hochkönig was convinced of this impressive ratio of volumes of snow to energy, and for the coming season has replaced its existing lances with the EOS models and installed further new machines to reinforce its snow production – a total of 89 lances.
All DEMACLENKO snow guns are equipped with a user-friendly touch display and can be operated through the proved electrical cabinet Demaclenko Control and via WIFI. The latest update of the control software Snowvisual 4.0 offers the final touch to this fully automatic snowmaking solution.
