Ortovox Offers Free Avalanche Crash Courses At Night
Snow crystals never sparkle more beautifully than in the glow of a headlamp. Discover this for yourself on an Ortovox Safety Nights course – and at the same time improve your knowledge of how to use your emergency equipment in the event of an avalanche!
Together with Petzl, they are offering a total of 390 places for free avalanche crash courses in 13 locations from mid-January to the end of February. The Ortovox Safety Nights will be on weekday evenings in well-known night ski tour areas throughout the entire alpine region. In the two-hour compact course you will be taught the essential basics of correct behavior in an emergency and how to use your emergency equipment together with safety academy mountain guides.
Ortovox will be lending out the latest ortovox avalanche transceivers, probes and shovels directly on site. Petzl Headlamps will ensure there’s enough light, and you will be able to test them extensively.
All locations are perfect for ski tours in the dark, and offer cozy, catered cabins that can be easily reached via the slopes before or after the courses.
REGISTRATION: 26 November to 16 December
Each evening, 30 participants will be drawn from among all of the registrations.
