Austria Wins Top Award For The Number Of Best European Ski Resorts For 2018/2019 Season In Ridestore Magazine
Ridestore Magazine released an expert chosen top 100 list of best European Ski Resorts for 2019 Ski/Snowboard season covering 17 countries. Austria topped the list with 17 entries, beating close rivals France by one entry. Switzerland rounded out the top three with 13 entries on the top 100 list. The countries with the lowest number of entries on the list comprised of Czech Republic, Montenegro, Iceland and Cyprus with one entry each.
This top 100 list was deemed necessary due to the lack of comprehensive and unbiased information for ski and snowboarding enthusiasts who want to know the most up to date and detailed list of all the best ski resorts in Europe, so they can plan their next big snow adventure!
The list was compiled and reviewed by a team of expert judges which included professional skiers Ian Rocca (Italian Freeski team member & 2017/2018 Slopestyle Europa Cup winner) and Florian Preuss (Big Air & Pipe 2017 Freeski German team member & German Slopestyle Champion 2016), along with Ridestore Magazines’ extreme sports and adventure travel experts, Pontus Karlsson (Swedish Extreme Sports Youtube sensation), Angelica Sykes (UK Freeriding Champion), Max Hemminger (German Freerider and technical snow wear specialist).
The article was commissioned by Ridestore Magazine which is a news and information portal for extreme outdoor activities with a significant focus on snow sports. Ridestore Magazine is part of Ridestore.com, an online e-commerce store specialising in Snow, Skate, Motocross and Bike Clothing.
Linus Hellberg, the co-founder of Ridestore.com and Ridestore Magazine, stated “As a company that was built around extreme sports and finding the next big adrenaline-filled adventure, we wanted to make the definite list of best ski resorts in Europe for the upcoming snow season. We understand the excitement of planning out your ski season for the true die-hard snow fans, not to mention the huge anticipation levels for recreational or first-time skiers, so by compiling the top 100 best ski resorts in Europe, we hope to make their choice a little easier with this objective and impartial list.”
