Salomon And Mavic Receive ISO Environmental Certifications
Salomon and Mavic are committed to reduce their environmental impact. As a result of this work, the Annecy Design Center, based in the heart of French Alps and the home to Salomon and Mavic, has received the ISO 14001 certificate which established the criteria for an environmental management system and ISO 50001 for its energy management system.
ISO, the International Organization for Standardization, is an international body that standardizes how businesses and organizations involved in commerce and industry manage information and processes. ISO certifications verify that the management system, manufacturing process, service and documentation procedure meet the environmental and energy requirements for standardization and quality assurance.
ISO 14001 provides practical tools to manage environmental responsibilities, based on the principle of the continuous improvement of environmental performance by monitoring and controlling the impacts linked to the company’s activities, such as chemical safety, waste and wastewater.
ISO 50001 is energy management system certification and it provides several benefits for companies; by increasing their energy efficiencies, companies can reduce costs, help conserve resources and mitigate climate change. ISO 50001 supports organizations in all sectors to use energy more efficiently.
“We are proud having received these certificates, and this also a message to our customers that the company is constantly looking for solutions and innovations to reduce environmental impact,” says Jean-Marc Pambet, President of Footwear and President of Salomon.
