Arc'teryx believes that business can be a force for positive change. This can occur not only by improving the practices in core operations, but also by supporting partners and projects that are aligned with the company's values.
“Our company is committed to the protection of wild spaces that matter to our community," says Drummond Lawson, Director of Sustainability, Arc'teryx. “We will continue to use our brand to advocate for and fund conservation projects."
Proactive conservation has been a long term focus for Arc'teryx; however, the company is now deepening its commitment to helping defend the United States public land system that is currently threatened. In particular, they are supporting The Conservation Alliance Public Lands Defence Fund which protects US Monuments and stands up against threats to the integrity of the US public lands system.
The Conservation Alliance shares Arc'teryx values of working to protect land for present and future generations through grant giving to local grassroots organizations. They partner with organizations to protect wild places for their habitat and recreation values. To date the list includes 51 million acres, 3,102 river miles, 13 climbing areas & 5 marine reserves.
Arc'teryx will continue to actively contribute to fund conservation projects as well as help activate consumer awareness around key issues through our retail community activations.
