Waterville Valley Resort Acquires Silver Fox Inn, Diversifying Lodging Portfolio
Waterville Valley Resort has acquired ownership of popular local lodging property, the Silver Fox Inn, formerly Best Western Silver Fox. The addition aims to strengthen and diversify the resort's portfolio of hospitality businesses. Waterville Valley Resort began the transition in February and is now operating the 32-room hotel alongside it's two and three-bedroom, fully-equipped Town Square Condominiums and the budget-conscious Snow Star Inn. The new addition, located next to the resort's Conference and Event Center, will also provide further comfort and convenience for resort conference guests.
Waterville Valley Resort acquired the property, formerly a Best Western franchise, upon the retirement of local couple, Tor and Susan Brunvand. "Their long-time dedication to their product has generated an incredible reputation," said Matt Hesser, Director of Marketing and Sales. "They have been a great help in the transition and we are looking forward to continuing their high standards of service."
Guests of the Silver Fox Inn can expect operations to continue as usual under the new ownership, including the popular hot breakfasts and afternoon wine and cheese welcome receptions. A growing number of year-round conferences, weddings, and events will also see a benefit to guests and employees with the integration of an additional property into the resort's planning and booking process. "It is great for us to be able to facilitate a larger variety of lodging options between the family-style condos in Town Square and the classic hotel-style at the Silver Fox Inn," said April Smith, Director of Lodging & Village Operations.
The resort plans to integrate online booking for the Silver Fox Inn at waterville.com soon. At present, guests can continue to make reservations by calling 1-800-GO-VALLEY and in celebration of the new addition to the family, Waterville Valley Resort is also offering an exclusive deal, only available by phone reservation using the promo code "THE FOX". Valid Sunday-Thursday nights through the end of this ski season, stay at the Silver Fox Inn for $109/room/night, plus tax, which includes the complimentary wine and cheese welcome reception and a warm breakfast. Add lift tickets to make it a Ski & Stay for only $20/person/day and add the Freedom Pass for free access to the ice arena, athletic club, and more for $20/room/day. Guests must book by March 19th and some restrictions may apply.
