Snowbasin Resort Announces New Assistant Mountain Manager
Snowbasin Resort announces the promotion of Ryan Woolsey to Assistant Mountain Manager. General Manager, Davy Ratchford says, “I am thrilled to promote Ryan Woolsey for this new opportunity as Assistant Mountain Manager. Ryan Woolsey has been an integral part of Snowbasin for the last 14 years. His dedication to the improvement of people and processes has led him to further developing his career path in mountain operations. He will bring not only institutional knowledge to his new position, but a love of the sport and Snowbasin particular.”
Ryan Woolsey is an Ogden local and started out on Ski Patrol in 2004 and chased winter by patrolling in New Zealand at Mt. Ruapehu for a winter. He filled his other summers by working with the Forest Service as a Forestry Technician. During his time at Snowbasin he has served as a Ski Patroller, Snow Safety Assistant, Assistant Ski Patrol Director, and most recently the Ski Patrol Director. His passion for the resort is highlighted through his work ethic and interactions with guests both internal and external. He strives to make Snowbasin the best it can possibly be. He has led his department to be Department of the Year, created the SAFERmtn Team Initiative which was recognized by NSAA for Best Overall Safety Program (Under 500K visits), and was recognized as the Leader of the Year by Snowbasin staff.
Snowbasin is looking forward to Woolsey’s leadership and his new role at the resort.
