Norwegian Ski Federation Alpine Starts "Culture Program"

The Norwegian Ski Federation - Alpine has started a "culture program" with the aim of building culture in Alpine Norway at all levels and age groups.

Norway's Ski Federation has ambitions to become the world's best Alpine skiing nation. When Norway's small-punch nation competes against the great powers of Austria and Switzerland, the connection can be better at all levels. This includes, among other things, identity, playing rules, values, behaviour and how practitioners, coaches / managers treat each other.

"We will have a continuous focus on improvement in all aspects. We have now had a process in which we have presented and been in dialogue with alpine Norway in different arenas such as NM, trade meetings, the mainland race and more. We started work during NM Hafjell this winter, but this is a long-term process. The goal is to get input and anchorage on the process of building culture as we wish to have it in the Alpine family, "says sports director Claus Johan Ryste.

The basic values of the Norwegian Ski Federation and "Attacking Vikings" will also be implemented in the "Culture Program".

"It's natural that we start the process of skiing lessons, which is an important resource. Eventually we will anchor the program with the rest of Norway to both the circuit and the club, "says Stefan Havnelid Johnsen, Senior Vice President and Senior Officer.

There will be three parts in the "Culture Program":

1) A process has been carried out in the Alpine Committee on how the work should be done. A value law has been developed that will guide the work, as well as the culture that is to be characterized by the Alpine family.

2) In the Alpine Administration, there must be a process of how the work in the administration is conducted and how the "Culture Program" can support that value and culture.

3) Throughout the work, a project has been set up to focus on common rules for trainers / leaders in Alpine Norway. Here a group across Norway has been set up to work for common rules. There will be a number of meeting activities throughout the autumn in order to present a ‘draft common rules’ of the game at the seminar in October.
