Inghams Wins Silver-i Award At The Silver Travel Awards 2018
Inghams Lakes & Mountains is the proud winner of the first ever Silver-i Award, which was awarded last night (on Monday, 9th July) at the prestigious Silver Travel Awards 2018 in recognition of Inghams’ e-biking programme in Kitzbühel, Austria.
The Silver-i Award recognises the travel company that has delivered outstandingly for the mature traveller in terms of an idea, initiative or innovation in its marketing, product development or overall operation. Inghams’ e-biking programme was among 14 category entries, and a shortlist of six. The judges’ votes were exactly tied, making Inghams a joint first winner with Personal Touch Holidays.

A glittering awards ceremony was hosted by Silver Travel Advisor and sponsors at the National Portrait Gallery, London, and was presented by John Suchet, broadcaster for Classic FM. Louise Newton, Head of Inghams Marketing, collected the award and said, “This is an incredible acknowledgement of our product and our promotional activity in meeting guests’ needs. E-biking encourages people of all abilities and fitness levels to access and enjoy the mountains on two wheels. Kitzbühel forms part of the world’s biggest e-biking region and Inghams is now offering a bespoke guided e-biking programme there to help guests discover it.”
The trophy is now on display at the Inghams Head Office in Godalming.
