Olympic Freestyle Skiing Updates
Mikael Kingsbury (CAN) underlined his, and Canada's, dominance in moguls skiing as he won the gold medal in the men’s event, the fourth time Canada has won the title since the event was introduced to the Olympic Programme in Albertville 1992.
In the ladies’ event, Perrine Laffont (FRA) took gold, becoming the second French Olympic Winter Games medallist in moguls as she joined Sandra Laoura who won the bronze medal at the Torino 2006 Olympics.

Biggest surprise
19-year-old young gun Perrine Laffont beat reigning Olympic Champion Justine Dufour-Lapointe to become ladies’ moguls gold medallist.
Meanwhile, 20-year-old Hara Daichi who has not had any FIS World Cup podiums in his career so far, took moguls bronze for Japan. By doing so, he became the first man from his country to take an Olympic medal in moguls.
Favourite behind the scenes story
When he was nine years old, Mikael Kingsbury made a sign with the Olympic rings and the words “I will win” written (in French) underneath, and pasted it to the ceiling above his bed. On Tuesday night he made good on that promise, winning gold.
