Fischer Roles Continue To Shift Following Departure Of Longtime Marketing Head Matt Berkowitz
Fischer Sports GmbH, one of the world’s largest ski manufacturers, announced further staff changes to its US subsidiary based in Auburn, NH, following the move of the US office’s longtime marketing director, Matt Berkowitz to Boston-based retailer, Ski Monster.
Berkowitz had begun his career as a team manager and graphic designer before rising to the role of a product manager, and then acting as the brand’s marketing director overseeing nordic, alpine and hockey.“Matt leaves very big shoes to fill,” described Fischer global CEO Franz Foettinger. “We’re grateful for his fifteen years of commitment to the brand and we wish him only the best.”In the wake of Berkowitz’s departure, Brian Landrigan will act as interim marketing lead for the brand. Landrigan spent the past five years at Yakima as their Lead Brand and Training Rep, prior to that he coordinated marketing for Bern Helmets.
Further marketing support for Fischer alpine initiatives will be supported by US Alpine Product Manager, Mike Hattrup, nordic marketing support will include efforts from nordic promotions specialist, Rick Halling and press outreach will continue through Andrew Gardner and Press Forward PR. With the season fully underway, Fischer continues to focus on dealer fulfillment, upcoming shows, and the continued growth of its brand in the US.
