Ellis Brigham Introduces VR Heli Experience

Want to add to the buzz of preparing for your next ski or board trip?  Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports is offering a free, super immersive Virtual Reality Heli-Ski/Board experience in-store, alongside a huge range of equipment and clothing for any wintery outing.

The VR experience features the film ‘Lines Of Sight’ made by award-winning Sherpas Cinema and uses cutting edge cameras by Google to replicate the heart-pounding of skiing and snowboarding in knee deep powder in the Cariboos in British Columbia, Western Canada.  The challenge is not to whoop with excitement!

In collaboration with UK Heli-Ski expert Pure Powder and Canadian based CMH Heli-skiing, the mountain sports retailer currently offers this immersive experience in its Bristol and Covent Garden stores and will be rolling out across its 24 stores nationwide as the season goes on.

This is not the first time Ellis Brigham has embraced instore experiences; it was the first retailer to offer in-store ice climbing by building an 8m Ice Wall into its London and Manchester stores, and they have begun trialling Augmented Reality on some of its products.
