Loon Mountain Resort To Open For Skiing And Snowboarding Friday, November 17
Loon Mountain Resort will open for the 2017-18 winter season with top-to-bottom terrain on Friday, November 17th at 9 a.m.
Skiers and snowboarders will enjoy 8 trails on opening day, with continuous skiing and riding on two routes from summit to base. Open trails will include Exodus, Bear Claw Extension, Upper Bear Claw, Upper Picked Rock, Grand Junction, Lower Bear Claw, Lower Picked Rock, and Seven Brothers. Lift service will be offered via the White Mountain Express Gondola. Open terrain will be suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers and riders only, and snowmaking will continue as weather permits on certain open trails.
Opening day ticket prices will be $59 for adults and $54 for teens, juniors, and seniors. Guest services on opening day, including lift ticket and season pass purchases, will be offered out of the Octagon Lodge, with food and beverage available at the Octagon Lodge cafeteria and Paul Bunyan Room. The Loon Mountain Sports retail shop and tuning center will also be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Loon will remain open daily for the season going forward, and snowmaking will continue whenever temperatures permit to expand open terrain as quickly as possible. Guests can take advantage of significant savings this winter by purchasing lift tickets for December 1st and later online, in advance of their visit.
