Bristol Mountain First To Open In New York!
Bristol Mountain First To Open in New York! The 2017-18 Ski Season is underway in NYS with the earliest opening of Bristol Mountain since 1991.
Most people don't enjoy phone calls in the pre-dawn hours unless you are a member of the Elite Snowmaking Operations Team (ESMT) at Bristol Mountain. When the call came this morning from Mountain Manager Paul Trippi and they proudly answered and will continue to work through the night on Friday and on Saturday while conditions permit.
Bristol Mountain Sales and Marketing Director, Drew Broderick, says, " It's always great to get an early start with our Snowmaking Operations. We know at this time of the year temperatures and conditions will vary so we have to take advantage of these opportunities when we can."
Bristol Mountain will post opening day information at www.facebook.com/Bristol Mountain and at www.Bristol Mountain.com when it is available. It could be sooner rather than later so check frequently. Typically the first trails(s) Open are rated for intermediate and advanced level skiers and snowboarders. Lesson become available once beginner terrain is open.
"The phones started ringing like crazy as soon as the word got out that we had begun making snow today. Most were inquiring about purchasing season passes, getting their equipment in for a pre-season tune or to see if season lockers are available this winter (yes). Guest Services, the Tuning Center and Bristol Ski & Sport will be open this weekend from 9am-4pm. Guests can reach a Guest Services Representative this weekend during those hours by calling 585-374-6000," stated Broderick.
