1st Edition Of The Winter Legacy By Alexis Pinturault Runs Saturday

Saturday April 9, the famous skier and ambassador of Courchevel Alexis Pinturault created the event with an original ski competition: the Winter Legacy. An exceptional day is preparing in Courchevel 1850 with unique challenges for all the competitors who will have to compete in technique and audacity to win this challenge. Animations and activities for all will be offered in the partner village. 

The Competition: 1 Round - 5 Events

The Winter Legacy is a competition straight out of the imagination of Alexis Pinturault which combines technique and a touch of madness for the best of skiing. The competitors will warm up their edges with the sequence of several disciplines: a ski cross, giant, telemark, super giant and a waterslide to spin towards the finish!

A great show in perspective for the spectators who will line the track and the opportunity to make the tips of the competitors shiver!

Last small precision which is important: to add spice, the starts will be made in fours in gates identical to those used on the parallel world cups.

The Place: The Émile Allais Stadium - Alt.2175m

Initially planned in the Combe de la Saulire, the first edition of Winter Legacy will finally take place on the legendary stadium of the Ski World Cup, the Émile Allais stadium.

A track as magnificent as it is impressive with exceptional specificities:

• Difference in height: 355 m
• Slope: 18 to 58.5%
• Length: 1,278 m

Dream dimensions for a competition that celebrates skiing in all these states.

The categories

• Solo As its name suggests, the competitor will have to compete individually against the three other athletes on the starting line and complete the five events in a minimum of time to win the victory!
  
• Team. Competitors will start at the same time on the track in teams of four. All teammates must complete the course and the last skier to cross the finish line will stop the team's time… A test that could be summed up by the motto of the three musketeers: “One for all and all for one”!
  
• Junior. Kids from 9 to 14 years old are also invited to participate in this competition on a tailor-made and adapted course. A great opportunity to have fun like the grown-ups and test your technique in a good mood!

The village of partners

Visitors will meet in the village where a number of activities and family entertainment await them! Big air bag, laser biathlon shooting, ski-test, tartiflette party, refreshment bar, raffle, DJ... Everything has been thought out so that children, parents and competitors can enjoy a magical day to celebrate skiing and the mountains!

A meeting with the champions of winter sports

Many athletes like Tessa Worley, Johan Clarey, Perrine Laffont but also Johannes Boe, Ester Ledecká, and of course Alexis Pinturault will be present. The key is a dream come true: meet your favorite athletes and leave with a little souvenir autograph!
