114th Swiss-Ski General Assembly Held In Flims
Around 250 participants attended the 114th General Assembly of the Swiss Ski Federation held at the Waldhaus Arena in Flims. Approximately 122 ski club representatives and 1149 represented votes were present and approved the annual report of the president and the accounts. Honorary guests included FIS President Gian Franco Kasper, as well as representatives the state of Graubünden and the municipality of Flims as well as sponsors and partners.
PluSport, the umbrella organisation of Swiss para-sports, was included in the Swiss-Ski family as an associated organisation with the aim to profit from synergies, know-how and structures.
“We are very pleased to welcome another professional sport federation as an associated organisation”, said Swiss-Ski President Urs Lehmann. “We believe we can both profit from the respective know-how and support each other in development questions."
The organisers of Swiss Championships in all disciplines and the LOC presidents of the three FIS Junior World Championships held in Switzerland in the past season (Nordic disciplines in Goms/Kandersteg, Alpine Skiing in Davos) received a special gift. All Olympic and Junior World Championships medallists as well as winners of FIS World Cup discipline and overall rankings were honoured, among them Ramon Zenhäusern, Michelle Gisin, Marco Odermatt, Aline Danioth (all Alpine) and Noé Roth (Aerials). At the same time, the athletes who retired after the past season received an official farewell.
