Revelstoke: New Groomers & Lift Capacity For 2017-18
Revelstoke has entered into a multi-year partnership agreement with Prinoth to replace and modernize the snow cat fleet. New cats will enter the fleet in each year of the program. For the 2017/18 season two new, Tier 4 Bison winch cats will be added to the existing fleet.
Prinoth is renowned for their cutting edge technology and extensive expertise in the grooming industry. In addition to being the most capable winch cat on the market, the Prinoth Bison will be Revelstoke Mountain Resort’s most environmentally friendly Snow Cat. The Prinoth Bison not only offers a significant increase in fuel efficiency, but also features a 90% reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions, meeting stringent Tier 4 final exhaust emission standards set by the EPA.

In addition to the grooming plan, they're increasing lift capacity by 25% for the 2017/18 season, with 24 new cabins added to the Revelation Gondola, plus 21 new chairs on The Stoke chairlift.

Heavy equipment operators have also spent the summer excavating, and smoothing out many of the runs at lower elevations to improve grooming efficiency for the upcoming season.
